Vegetable oils and fats are important ingredients in animal feed. They play an important role in feeding because they increase the energy density of the feed; fats contain 2.3 times more energy than carbohydrates. Fats have a protective function, are carriers for fat-soluble vitamins, they increase the palatability of the feed and bind the dust in feed.

Marvesa offers crude oils of various vegetable origins. Each type of vegetable oil has their own unique fatty acid profile, which also leads to various physical characteristics such as the melting point of the oil. Crude oils are generally high in triglycerides, which are three fatty acids bound to a glycerol molecule. As it is a natural product, variation also exists within each batch of oil from the same vegetable origins.
